The fact that Samsung plans to launch a mini version of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6, should not surprise anyone since this isn't the first time the South Korean company makes this move.

The same goes for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, which is a rugged smartphone supposed to make its debut at AT&T sometime this week.

The Galaxy S6 mini was spotted for the first time last month when the phone appeared in a benchmark database.

Today, a new report confirms the smartphone recently arrived in India where it will be tested until given the green light.

The phone is listed in Zauba documents with its model number, Samsung SM-G9198 and has a market value of Rs 29,224 ($455 / €410), which might be the final price of the smartphone as well.

We expect Samsung to launch a dual-SIM version of the Galaxy S6 mini in India, as well as a few other countries where this feature is mandatory for the smartphone to become popular.

Samsung replaces the Exynos chipset with a Snapdragon 808 CPU

As for the specs, the listing in Zauba database doesn't reveal anything else, but the phone's model number and the possible price tag.

However, we do know most of its specs from the previous leak, so for those out of the loop, here is a quick rundown of Samsung Galaxy S6 mini's hardware specification.

First of all, the smartphone sports a smaller 4.6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. It also packs a 16-megapixel camera in the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

In the front, there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies, while on the inside there's a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit, and 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone should come with 16GB of internal memory, but there's no mention of microSD card slot for memory expansion yet. We also know the Galaxy S6 mini will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
