South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has been long rumored to plan the launch of a new flagship-based Android smartphone in the popular Galaxy S series, and it seems that the handset will be called Galaxy S5 in the end.

The info comes from @evleaks, who claims that Samsung has decided to stick with the naming scheme that has already made it the largest smartphone maker in the world.

Galaxy S5 is also said to arrive on shelves with a fingerprint sensor inside, and a screenshot coming from the same leaker appears meant to confirm that. The image shows that the handset will include a FingerprintService.apk file inside.

What remains to be seen is when exactly Galaxy S5 will go official, and when it will land on the market. Rumor has it that an announcement will be made in March, and that general availability is expected for April.
