Good news for Android enthusiasts in India, as Samsung is likely to introduce two new devices in the country, the Galaxy S5 mini and Galaxy S5 Active.

Keep in mind that while the Galaxy S5 mini has yet to be announced, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has been recently launched in the United States exclusively via AT&T.

However, the rugged Galaxy S5 active will be rolled out worldwide in the next couple of weeks, so it makes sense that the phone will arrive in India as well.

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini is also expected to go official soon, given the flow of leaks that point out some of the main features the smartphone may be packed with.

Anyway, it looks like both devices have been recently spotted at Zauba, the Indian import authority, which suggests it won’t be long until they become available for purchase.

Codenamed SM-G800H, the Galaxy S5 mini made an appearance a few weeks ago on a few Samsung official websites, which is another indication that the device may be announced soon.

Talking about specs, the mini version of the Samsung flagship smartphone is said to pack a 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos 3 processor, which is complemented by a Mali 400 MP4 graphics processing unit and 1.5GB of RAM.

The handset may be packed with 16GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB). It will also feature an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel camera in the front.

GadgetsToUse reports that the Galaxy S5 mini has been spotted at Zauba, where the import documents mention that the smartphone arrived in India for testing purposes.

The same goes for the Galaxy S5 Active, which appears in the documents as Samsung SM-G870E. This one has already been made official, but for those unfamiliar with the device, here is a quick recap.

The rugged phone has been certified for dust and water resistance (IP67) and features MIL-STD-810G certification, which makes it salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport, and thermal shock resistant.

It comes with similar specs as the standard Galaxy S5 model, including the stunning 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The Galaxy S5 Active is equipped with a powerful 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

While there’s no word on when exactly Samsung’s high-end smartphones will arrive in India, we hope that will happen sooner rather than later.
