There was little doubt that Samsung would release a premium version of its Galaxy S5 model, and some more confirmation on the matter is now available, courtesy of a listing on tvmobile.olleh.com.

On said website, the mobile phone emerged with model number SM-G906K attached to it, as well as with the long-rumored market name of Galaxy S5 Prime.

The SM-G906K, which is one of the models that should arrive on shelves at wireless carriers in South Korea (KT, to be more precise), has been already removed from the aforementioned website, though some people managed to take screenshots of the page before that has happened.

In fact, as SammyToday notes, the link to the image appears to still be live, although no other details on the phone itself have been provided as of now.

However, previous reports on this phone suggested that it would arrive on shelves with a 5.2-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a Quad HD resolution, and that it will also pack a more powerful Snapdragon 805 processor.

As SamMobile notes, the aforementioned photo with the phone appears to have been already spotted online before, showing a Spigen back cover on the phone, which hides its actual looks.

The phone was rumored numerous times to arrive on shelves with a metallic body, yet this cannot be verified at the moment, due to said back cover. Chances are that the phone will come with a different pattern on the back as well, yet it remains to be seen what it will actually be.

Should previous reports on the smartphone pan out, we might see the new Galaxy S5 Prime made official in June, and we might also be able to purchase it later this summer.

As mentioned above, it is said to hit shelves as a premium variant of the Galaxy S5, supposedly capable of offering better performance levels, and a more appealing outer design.

However, this also means that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime will sport a higher price tag, something that was also rumored for it before, although no specific details on this have been provided as of now.

The WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) version of the Galaxy S5 is expected to become official since February, but Samsung still has it well wrapped up. Hopefully, the new reports on the phone’s landing will finally pan out, so keep an eye on this space for updates on the matter.
