Samsung Galaxy S5 was officially unveiled last month and has been confirmed to arrive in no less than 150 countries in mid-April. According to Samsung, the flagship smartphone should go on sale on April 11, but some lucky customers may receive it a few days earlier if they pre-order now. Australian customers will also be among the first to be able to grab the Galaxy S5, as the smartphone has been confirmed to arrive in Australia on April 11.

The folks over at AusDroid report that Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available for pre-order in Australia starting March 27. Potential customers will be able to choose from lots of offers available through all three major carriers in the country: Optus, Telstra and Vodafone.

Although there were no details on the pricing options for the Galaxy S5, AusDroid has been able to put together the most important information regarding the smartphone’s price tag from all three carriers.

It appears that Telstra will be selling the Samsung Galaxy S5 online and at brick and mortar stores across the country beginning April 11.

As we have mentioned earlier, pre-orders begin tomorrow and customers will be able to pre-purchase it for free on select 24-month plans starting at $70 (€47).

Vodafone Australia will also offer the Samsung Galaxy S5 for free on select 12-month plans starting at $60 (€40) and 24-month plans starting at $30 (€20). The more expensive the plan, the lower the cost of the smartphone will be.

Last but not least, Optus has confirmed that it will sell the Galaxy S5 for free on select plans starting at $35 (€23), but the cost of the smartphone goes higher the smaller the value of the plan is, so keep that in mind before making your choice.

It is also worth mentioning that both Optus and Telstra will begin selling the Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit on April 11.

For those who do not wish to commit to a long-term contract, Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available for pre-order starting March 27 at the Samsung Experience Store from Melbourne and Sydney.

Potential customers will be able to pre-purchase one for around $930 (€620) upfront. The smartphone will go on sale at Samsung Experience Store locations across Australia on the same day the major carriers are putting the device on sale, April 11.

Unfortunately, there’s no word on when exactly all pre-orders will ship so that the Galaxy S5 may arrive in the hands of customers on April 11.
