Starting today, T-Mobile customers in the United States can pre-order the new Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone on the network of their carrier, while looking to receive it starting with April 11, when the phone will officially become available for purchase.

Users interested in reserving the handset through this operator should head over to its official website for that, where the Galaxy S5 is listed with a price tag of $660 (€479) attached to it, if purchased contract-free.

However, users will also be able to grab it for $0 upfront on a $50 (€36) plan, though they will also have to pay $27.50 (€20) for the device each month. This means that they will need to pay the remaining balance in the event that they cancel their wireless service.

Galaxy S5 was made official last month during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, when Samsung unveiled plans to bring it to 150 countries worldwide on April 11.

The phone comes with various hardware enhancements when compared to last year’s flagship smartphone, as well as with a great deal of software innovations.

“The Next Big Thing Is Here. Stunning. Innovative. Simply inspired. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is technology that truly impacts your life. Make split-second moments yours. Watch HD movies and games roar to life,” the wireless carrier notes.

“Track your life right down to your heartbeat. Powered with innovation, the Galaxy S5 is like no other mobile device before it.”

Samsung announced the mobile phone with a 5.1-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, as well as with a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor packed inside.

Moreover, the new device features 2GB of RAM, along with 16GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, it sports a 16-megapixel camera capable of recording videos in 4K resolution, paired with a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Samsung also unveiled it with the entire range of usual connectivity capabilities packed inside, such as 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS receiver, as well as with the whole set of sensors, including a heart-rate monitor on the back and a fingerprint scanner in the home button.

Samsung Galaxy S5 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system right from the start, but it also features Samsung’s TouchWiz UI loaded on top, with a host of exclusive applications and features available for its users.
