Samsung is indeed preparing the release of a new flavor of its Galaxy S5 flagship handset, one that would arrive on shelves with a faster processor and improved data connectivity, and it appears that it has already showcased the device in the Netherlands.Believed to arrive on the market exclusively in South Korea, the mobile phone, which might be called Galaxy S5 LTE-A or Galaxy S5 Prime, will include a Snapdragon 805 processor in it, which should enable it to deliver data transfer speeds far superior to those supported by the original.
The phone hasn’t been officially announced as of now, but Dutch carrier KPN has decided to showcase it during a meeting about LTE-Advanced, a recent article on androidworld.nl reads.
Apparently, the new handset model is identical with the Galaxy S5 on the outside, which means that it will sport no metallic body but will keep the dotted, plastic back cover of the original.
No specific info on when the smartphone will be released has been provided as of now, but recent reports on the matter have suggested that Samsung will be readying it for the next month.
Moreover, the South Korean vendor is expected to launch a Galaxy F premium handset sometime in fall, alongside a new phone in the popular Galaxy Note series.
