Galaxy S5, the latest flagship Android-based device from South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung, has been available on shelves for a few weeks now, though a Google Play Edition version hasn’t been launched as of now.

However, it seems that it might not be too long before Samsung and Google should launch this flavor of the device as well, given that Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition has already made an appearance online.

The handset has been discovered in the Google Play store by the guys over at Phandroid, though it seems that it is not available for purchase as of now.

However, given that it has already emerged on the official website, the Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition might actually become available for purchase sooner rather than later.

The device should include the same hardware specifications as the original Galaxy S5, though it will come only with the stock Android platform loaded on top. That would be the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, of course.

However, it will still feature a 5.1-inch touchscreen display, a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 16-megapixel camera on the back. Galaxy S5 also sport a front camera, the usual set of connectivity capabilities, and a 2800mAh battery packed inside.
