Galaxy S5, the latest flagship Android-based smartphone from South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung, is set to make an official appearance on shelves at wireless carrier C Spire as soon as the next month, the company has officially announced.

The mobile phone has already been listed on the carrier’s website, though no specific release date has been unveiled for it as of now, and info on its pricing is missing as well.

As Engadget notes, Galaxy S5 will have at this wireless operator a similar fate with that of Galaxy S4 last year, as that device too arrived on C Spire’s network one month after its official release.

As mentioned above, no details on the pricing of the device have been provided, though chances are that it will be released at around $200 on contract, the same as it will happen at other wireless carriers out there.

Undoubtedly, C Spire customers won’t be bothered that much by the delayed launch, especially since the phone will arrive on their preferred network only one month after other carriers release it.

In terms of hardware specs, they should have no surprise, as Galaxy S5 is expected to hit shelves at this operator packing the same capabilities that were officially announced for it in late February, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

These include a 5.1-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, and, in addition, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, the mobile phone was announced with 16GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the new device features a 16-megapixel camera that can record videos in full HD resolution, which is complemented by a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

At the same time, Samsung’s Galaxy S5 arrives on the market with the entire set of usual connectivity capabilities packed inside, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as with a built-in GPS receiver.

The handset also sports the full range of sensors, including Accelerometer, Compass, and Proximity, while also adding a Fingerprint sensor in the Home button, along with a heart rate monitor on the back, next to the camera.

Galaxy S5 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, with Samsung’s own set of customizations loaded on top, in the form of the TouchWiz interface. C Spire customers interested in grabbing the new smartphone can already register on the carrier’s website for updates on its arrival.
