One Monday, Sprint’s subsidiaries Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile added the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone to their offering, after announcing plans on the matter several weeks ago.

The mobile phone was already available for purchase through Sprint, but the carrier decided to push it to its pre-paid brands as well, so as to allow more users to enjoy the capabilities of the phone.

Those of you interested in the purchase of the device will find it available today via both Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile with a price tag of $599.99 (€438) attached to it, contract-free.

Moreover, those who will come to Boost Mobile from another carrier will also receive a $100 credit when making the switch, the wireless carrier announces.

The operator has the new device available on $40 per month deals, with unlimited talk, text and data. While the $40 pack 500MB of 3G/4G data, users can get 2.5GB of data when choosing the $50 plan, or 5GB of high-speed data with the $60 plan.

Virgin released it on its Beyond Talk plans, which start at $35 for 300 minutes, and which also provide users with unlimited data each month (though only 2.5GB of it is unlimited).

As one can imagine, Samsung Galaxy S5 landed at both operators with the same hardware specs and capabilities that it was unveiled with back in February, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

This would include its 5.1-inch touchscreen display capable of offering a full HD resolution, as well as the 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, Samsung Galaxy S5 arrives on the market with 16GB of internal memory but also includes a microSD memory card slot that can support up to 128GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel camera capable of recording videos in 4K resolution, paired with a 2MP front camera that will provide users with a great video experience.

Samsung also packed it with support for 4G LTE and 3G networks, as well as with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and the rest of the usual connectivity capabilities found inside high-end smartphones. A built-in GPS receiver is also available inside it.

Samsung Galaxy S5 was released with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system loaded on top right from the start, as well as with a great deal of customizations and exclusive features coming from Samsung themselves.

Moreover, the handset is HD Voice-enabled, which will allow users to take advantage of crystal-clear call quality with reduced background noise on Sprint’s network.
