South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is nearing the launch of a new flagship smartphone in the form of Galaxy S5, and it appears that retailers are also preparing for the addition of the new handset to their offerings.

Dutch retailer Typhone is one of them, currently listing the phone on its website, supposedly confirming some of the main specs and features of the device, as galaxyclub.nl has found out.

According to the listing, the handset will arrive on shelves with a full HD 1080p touchscreen display measuring 5.2-inches diagonally, but it won’t sport the previously rumored Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) resolution.

Moreover, the retailer lists the upcoming device with a 16-megapixel camera on the back, which is also in line with the previous reports.

However, as SamMobile notes, the retailer might have simply put up a placeholder page for the phone based on previous rumors on its hardware specs, and chances are that the final specs will be different.

Unfortunately, no image with the device has been listed on the aforementioned website, and we’re still left in the dark when it comes to its actual design.

Rumor has it that Samsung is getting ready to make the flagship smartphone official next week during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which means that we’ll be able to learn specifics on it sooner rather than later.

For those out of the loop, we should also note that Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to arrive with a quad-core processor inside, though an octa-core version is also being prepared.

Moreover, it will arrive with the usual set of connectivity options inside, as well as with the latest Android version out there, with a new flavor of the TouchWiz user interface loaded on top. Keep an eye on this space for more info on the smartphone.
