Rumors about a more rugged version of the Galaxy S5 surfaced online a few weeks ago. The so-called Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is expected to go official in the coming months, but some of the specs have already leaked recently.

Several hands-on videos demoing the AT&T and the international version of the Galaxy S5 Active have been published on YouTube. Aside from showing the smartphone from all angles, these videos also reveal most of the Galaxy S5 Active's specs sheet.

Although not much is known about the rugged features of the smartphone, we do know that the Galaxy S5 Active will be a toughened version of the standard model.

That being said, here are some of the phone's specs revealed in these short hands-on videos. First of all, the Galaxy S5 Active will sport a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

In addition, the smartphone will be equipped with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset that accommodates a quad-core processor probably clocked at 2.5GHz. It will also come packed with 2GB of RAM and an enhanced 16-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Now that most of the phone's specs and design have been revealed, we expect Samsung to make an announcement pretty soon. Stay tuned for more on this one.
