South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics appears to be working on a new version of last year’s Galaxy S4 mini smartphone, and some info on the device has emerged online.

Apparently, the company is preparing the launch of a LTE variant of the device in India, and the device has been already spotted in the country, on the import tracking site Zauba.

The handset vendor is said to have already shipped the smartphone to this country for testing purposes, though no further details on the device have been provided as of now.

As SamMobile notes, however, the phone could easily prove a great choice for many users in India, especially now that LTE networks are expected to gain Steam in the country in the coming months.

The LTE-enabled Galaxy S4 mini have emerged on this market with model number GT-I9197 attached to them but might not actually become available for purchase there, it seems.

Instead, Samsung might be testing it with custom hardware inside, so as to be able to release new, LTE-enabled devices in the country in the not-too-distant future. Hopefully, specific info on the matter will emerge as soon as possible, so stay tuned to learn the news.
