We have reported that AT&T might launch the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini in pink back in January, but at that time, we did not have any info on the exact release date of the smartphone.

Many of you doubted that the Galaxy S4 mini would still be released at AT&T and decided to go for other Android smartphones, but those waiting patiently have just been rewarded as the carrier has announced that the device will soon go on sale.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is the first smartphone available at AT&T that supports VoLTE (voice over LTE) technology, which is how the device is also advertised.

The carrier teased the Galaxy S4 mini last week when it confirmed that the first VoLTE smartphone to go on sale through its official retail channels would be exactly this device.

Potential customers may want to know that the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini will be available for purchase via AT&T beginning May 23 for only $50 (€35) on two-year agreements. In addition, the carrier has announced that customers can also get the smartphone at $14.24 on Next 18 or $18.50 on Next 12.

Keep in mind that the Galaxy S4 mini will be available in both Black Mist and Valentine Pink, which are exactly the colors we reported on earlier this year.

Those who wish to purchase the smartphone due to its VoLTE compatibility should know that AT&T only supports this service in four locations: Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. So if you’re not living in one of these locations, you will not be able to use VoLTE yet.

Moreover, in order for VoLTE to work, both devices must be compatible with the technology, which basically means that you can only benefit from the advantages of the new technology while using two Samsung Galxay S4 mini devices.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is already available for pre-order via AT&T, but for the time being, you can only pre-order the smartphone through the carrier’s brick and mortar locations. The online store page has yet to pop up live, so you can’t order it from the webstore.

Unlike the standard Galaxy S4 model, the mini version comes with a much smaller 4.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution and features Coring Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

It also packs a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processor unit and 1.5GB of RAM. The smartphone features only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
