The handset packs a 16MP camera with 10X optical zoom

Following a long series of leaked info and unofficial press shots, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom smartphone is finally official, with a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor with Xenon flash on the back.

Just as previously rumored, the handset comes with enhanced camera capabilities, with 10X optical zoom, as well as with a “Zoom Ring” that will launch the camera app when rotated, will enable zooming in / out, and even sharing of images when in a phone call.

The phone also comes to the market with a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor packs inside, as well as with 1.5GB of RAM, SamMobile notes.

Galaxy S4 Zoom packs 8GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, a 2330mAh battery, a 1.9MP front camera, and features such as Smart/Expert shooting modes, S Voice, S Translator, Group Play, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, and A-GPS, while running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
