The much anticipated Android-based Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant is now available for purchase in Canada on the airwaves of Bell. Announced officially quite a while ago, the handset was put on sale via the wireless carrier's website and in its retail locations. Moreover, it was also launched via Best Buy, who has it priced even better than Bell on a 3-year contract agreement.

In case one would like to have the new Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant purchased from Bell, one would have to pay $149.95 for the handset upon committing to a 3-year contract agreement. Other contract options are also there, with the phone priced at $349.95 on a 2-year term, or at $399.95 on a 1-year contract, but users can also have the device free of contract, case in which they would have to pay $449.95 for it.

Bell also put in place a contest for those early Galaxy S Vibrant adopters, it seems. “The Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant features the world's best mobile screen. Plus, it runs on the Android 2.1 platform and a powerful 1 GHz processor, so it's lightning fast even when you're multitasking. Bonus: Buy a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant before September 3 and you'll be automatically entered into a draw to win a 55-inch Samsung LED HD TV,” the carrier notes on its website.

As for Best Buy's offering, it includes the device priced at only $99.99 on a 3-year contract, on top of which the retailer thrown a $75 Gift Card. Basically, this means that Canadians purchasing the Galaxy S Vibrant from Best Buy would save $50, though this does not apply to those who would like to grab the phone free of contract, as the retailer has it priced at $499.95. In case there are some who are not yet familiar with what the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant can offer, we should mention its 4-inch Super AMOLED display, complemented by a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, 5-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, video calling, GPS receiver, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and features like Samsung’s Social Hub, Google Maps, Google Talk and fast access to apps from the Android Market.
