There are only a few features that are not functional

While handset manufacturers are still struggling to offer their customers Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, some already lost hope and are now turning to other ways of improving their handsets.

Most Samsung Galaxy S Plus owners are probably among those who are looking to root their devices if they want to have a glimpse of what Android 4.0 ICS has to offer.

The folks over at XDA Developers have just made it possible by releasing a new CyanogenMod 9 Alpha ROM for Galaxy S Plus. Even though this is just alpha build 2, there only a few things that are not fully functional.

According to XDA forum user arco68, the following features still need to be ironed out in future updates: camera, FM radio and USB tethering. For more details on how to flash the custom ROM, head over to the original thread.
