GSMA also awarded Nokia Asha 305 as the best entry-level phone

On Tuesday, GSMA announced the winners of the 18th Annual Global Mobile awards, held at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and unveiled that Samsung Galaxy S III was crowned best in the smartphone category.

Furthermore, GSMA awarded Nokia Asha 305 as the best feature phone or entry level phone, and Nexus 7 from Google and ASUS as the best mobile tablet.

Samsung won the Best Manufacturer of the Year award, and also went home with the title of Best Mobile Infrastructure for Smart LTE Networks.

The GSMA also crowned Facebook as the Best Mobile App for Consumers, while awarding Evernote as the Best Mobile App for Enterprise. Waze won the Judges Choice – Best Overall Mobile App award.
