Samsung Galaxy S III is a go for the US, though there aren’t any official release dates yet. The third-generation Galaxy S smartphone is about to make its debut in the UK, but North Americans have been left out.

However, the latest hearsay points to a possible June 20 release date in the US and Canada. There will be multiple Galaxy S III models available on the market, depending on the location and operator.

At least two models will be launched in the US, the Samsung SGH-T999 and SGH-I747, which have recently been spotted at Bluetooth SIG.

The former also received FCC’s (Federal Communications Commission) approval earlier last week, and the documents filed mentioned the phone lacked LTE support.

Given the fact that the Samsung SGH-T999 is expected to arrive at T-Mobile USA, the smartphone is packed with HSPA+ (42Mbps) support.

On the other hand, AT&T’s variant will come with LTE connectivity, documents recently filed at FCC claim. The folks at Engadget spotted the Samsung SGH-I747 at telecom regulatory organization, so we’re expecting the carrier to make an official announcement within the next few weeks.

It is also worth mentioning that Samsung SGH-I747 also supports Rogers, Bell and TELUS bands, so it’s likely that the same model will arrive in Canada as well.

Although T-Mobile USA’s launch date for Galaxy S III has been recently leaked, we can only speculate that other carrier will want to release the smartphone around the same time frame, which is June 20.

No word on pricing options either, but we suspect most US-based carriers will offer the Galaxy S III for around 250 USD (200 EUR) on contract, or maybe a bit higher.

Still, some authorized retailers across the country might offer better deals on the smartphone, perhaps one week after the official release. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
