Samsung Galaxy S III Receiving Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update Now

It is now available at Vodafone Ireland and will soon be rolled out worldwide

It looks like Samsung has just kicked off the rollout of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S III faster than we would have expected. We reported over the weekend the first test firmware for the smartphone leaked, which was proof that Samsung might release it soon.

Well, it appears that the folks over at SamMobile have been able to confirm that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is now available for download for Samsung Galaxy S III users at Vodafone Ireland.

Just like the Android 4.3 update for Galaxy S4, Samsung is slowly rolling out the upgrade to Galaxy S III devices in stages, which means it might take several weeks until it is available worldwide.

Although for the time being, only Galaxy S III users in Ireland are lucky to have received the update, we can be sure that other countries will receive it in the coming weeks.

Samsung has confirmed that besides bringing the phone’s software to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, this update will also add Galaxy Gear compatibility. This means that Galaxy S III owners will be able to easily pair Samsung’s smartwatch with their smartphones.

Aside from that, here are some of the new features and improvements included in this major update for Samsung Galaxy S III, courtesy of SamMobile:
