Owners of Samsung Galaxy S III smartphones in India can now download once again the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS upgrade for their devices, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Apparently, the update is available both over-the-air and through the Samsung Kies desktop application, as AndroidOS notes.

The handset is currently running under the Android 4.2.2 operating system, yet the new update should provide users with a nice range of enhancements over that platform release.

One of the main features included in this release, and which was pushed to all Samsung handsets as part of the Android 4.3 upgrade, is the included support for Galaxy Gear.

At the same time, the new firmware brings along TRIM and ANT+ support, as well as an updated overall user interface. The performance capabilities of the device should be greatly improved as soon as the new platform is installed.

The update also features Samsung Keyboard, new Lockscreen, and new Screen modes, as well as a Sound and Shot Camera Mode. Smart Switch, HomeSync, Group Play 2.5, and Samsung Knox were also included.

Moreover, following the installation of Android 4.3, Galaxy S III users will be able to move applications to the SD card, while also receiving access to enhanced voice controls. The Notifications bar has been improved in this update as well, while the Settings UI was modified entirely.

On top of that, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean brings new Samsung Apps, such as Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, and Music, along with an updated S-Voice, and better performance capabilities when it comes to Graphics, Multimedia, Bluetooth, and more.

The new firmware comes to devices as a 408 MB download, and users will receive a notification as soon as it has been released for their smartphones.

However, they can also check on its availability manually, through heading to Settings > About Phone > Software update, and clicking on the Check now button.
