One of the smartphones that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has been rumored lately to plan on bringing to the market in India is the Galaxy S III Neo, and it seems that it won’t be long before that happens.

Featuring model number GT-I9300I, the device has already been listed on Samsung’s portal in the country, though no availability date and pricing info have been attached to it.

Galaxy S III Neo has already landed in China with dual-SIM connectivity capabilities packed inside, and it seems that Samsung has decided to make it available in more emerging markets out there.

According to the previous reports on the phone, Samsung might release it in the country with a price tag of Rs. 24,990 ($415/€302) attached to it, though official info on this has yet to be provided.

The new mobile phone will arrive on shelves in India with about the same hardware specifications as the original Galaxy S III, though also with a series of small enhancements packed inside.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo also features about the same outer design as the older device, while also packing the same 4.8-inch Super AMOLED 720p screen as that device.

According to the listing on Samsung’s Indian portal, the mobile phone will also arrive on shelves with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, as well as with 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

The specifications list of the new device also includes an 8-megapixel camera on its back, with full HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a 1.9MP front camera for making video calls.

Moreover, the handset comes with support for 3G HSPA+ networks, as well as with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi-Direct, along with built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS + GLONASS.

Samsung Galaxy S III Neo is powered by a 2100mAh battery and runs under the Android operating system (no info on the actual version), with Samsung’s own set of personalization features and custom applications loaded on top of it.

Considering the fact that the smartphone is already official in China, it should not be too long before Samsung decides to formally introduce it in India as well.

Moreover, since it has already been listed on the company’s website, the mobile phone is expected to become available for purchase in the very near future. Keep an eye on this space for additional info on it.
