Although Samsung was pretty evasive on Galaxy S III’s availability in North America, word is that the handset will come to Sprint’s airwaves.

The folks over at The Verge have been told, by sources close to the matter, that Sprint will be one of the first US-based carriers to offer the Samsung Galaxy S III this summer.

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S III sign-up page is live in the US, we can see that the smartphone might make its way to almost all carriers in the country, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, C-Spire Wireless, Metro PCS and U.S. Cellular.

It’s likely that each operator will get its own Galaxy S III variant by the end of the year. However, it will be interesting to see if Sprint manages to ink an exclusivity deal for the Galaxy S III, even if it’s just for a very short time.
