Samsung Galaxy S II should arrive in the United States soon, and it's big! That is what Samsung is advertising for the new device today, although they did not offer any other specific details on the matter.

However, all should be officially unveiled in less than a week, since Samsung has already announced plans to introduce the high-end smartphone on the US market on August 29th.

Until then, all that we can say is that the smartphone should hit the shelves stateside with a different design than in the rest of the world.

Whether only the smartphone specifically designed for one of the local wireless carriers in the US or the new look for the handsets at all of them, the US Galaxy S II was spotted today in a video promo that Samsung published on the Internet.

The video presents the achievements and features that Galaxy S II already enjoys, and teases a near announcement regarding its availability on the US market.

At the same time, the video appears to provide a short glimpse at the device, which displays different front buttons when compared to the European flavor of the handset.

The physical Home and two touch-sensitive buttons that can be found on the International flavor of the device were replaced with four touch-sensitive buttons on the US flavor, the video shows (as can be seen in the screenshot to the left).

Of course, the fact that Samsung has had a great deal of issues with the looks of Galaxy S II in various markets around the world might have determined the company to modify the handset's external design for the US market, though we should not forget that the Galaxy S suffered a similar fate.

It remains to be seen whether other aspects of this mobile phone were modified as well, though we'll not have too long to wait before that happens. The official announcements should arrive on Monday.
