T-Mobile and AT&T Galaxy S II devices awarded as well

Korean handset manufacturer has just announced that its Galaxy S II series of smartphones available in the United States have just been recognized as the best new mobile devices at 4G World.

According to Samsung, the company has received three awards at the 2011 Best of 4G Award ceremony earlier this week.

Among the awarded devices, there are three Samsung Galaxy S II devices, including first place to the Samsung Galaxy S II, Epic 4G Touch in the Best New Mobile Device category.

However, things have gone better and better for Samsung, as the company also received two additional awards for T-Mobile's Galaxy S II and AT&T's Galaxy S II, which rounded out the entire Best New Mobile Device category with a tie for second place.

“We are honored and humbled to have all three of our Galaxy S II devices receive such high acclaim from 4G World, the largest global 4G Expo. Being recognized by 4G World continues to build on the worldwide success of the Galaxy S II portfolio,” said Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Mobile.

The announcement doesn't come as a surprise at all, as Samsung has just overtaken Apples to become the number one smartphones vendor with 30 million units shipped.

Most of the company's records sales were driven by Galaxy S II incredible sales in the United States, but also in other regions of the world.

In fact, the U.S. launch of Galaxy S II increased the success and popularity of the Galaxy S family across the world, which Samsung recently announced has achieved a combined total of 30 million global sales.

Epic 4G Touch, as well as T-Mobile's and AT&T's Galaxy S II devices are enabled with 4G support that offer users fast data speeds.

In addition, the smartphones feature an ultra-thin form factor design and come with the best Samsung Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display.
