Today, Australian mobile phone carrier Optus has announced the availability of the Jelly Bean platform upgrade for the owners of a Galaxy S II smartphone on its network.
The company announced that the new software update would arrive on all devices within a week, and that some users would see it available for them as soon as today.
Furthermore, the wireless carrier confirmed that the platform release will be pushed to smartphones both over-the-air and via the Samsung Kies desktop application.
“Samsung Galaxy S2 customers: Jelly Bean rolls out over the next week starting today! Look out for the notification or check via device/Kies,” the wireless carrier announced on Twitter.
Jelly Bean should bring to Galaxy S II smartphones enhancements such as Google Now, camera improvements, expandable notifications, and more.
