South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has started to deliver the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean software update to more of its Galaxy S II users, and is currently pushing it out to the GT-I9100P model.

Released in Europe in late 2011, this Galaxy S II flavor comes with NFC capabilities, and is now being brought up to speed with the new features and enhancements that Google (and Samsung) packed inside the aforementioned Jelly Bean upgrade.

As usual, the update will be delivered to units in phases, which means that some users will not see it available for their units right away.

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade will land on smartphones both over-the-air and through the Samsung Kies application, while featuring Build number JZO54K.

The update will bring along not only the features and enhancements that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was designed with right from the start, but will also deliver improvements coming from Samsung themselves.

As SamMobile notes in a recent post, the update will come with the new Nature UX interface to Galaxy S II, so that its users would benefit from an experience similar to that offered by Galaxy S III.

The full list of enhancements that this update comes with includes:

- Buttery smooth performance and better stability (thanks to Project Butter) - Full user interface revamp (same UI as on the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II) - TouchWiz Nature UX and Samsung’s S Cloud services - Improved camera features - New lockscreen with many customization options - New features like Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play - New widgets (from Galaxy S III) and 2 Home screen modes - New Notification bar with more notification toggles - Google Now

As mentioned above, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean will arrive on Galaxy S II GT-I9100P devices in phases, so users should sit tight and wait for it to become available for them as well.
