AT&T users who would like to purchase a new smartphone without spending too much money on it, can now take advantage of a special offer that the wireless carrier has put in place for the Galaxy S II.

Today and tomorrow, the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone is available for only $9.99 from AT&T, with the signing of a two-year contract agreement.

As the predecessor of the upcoming Galaxy S III flagship device, the older Android phone has a lot to offer to its users, and the currently available low price tag seems like a bargain.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Galaxy S II was launched with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display and with a 1.2GHz dual-core application processor inside.

The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD vide recording, as well as great entertainment capabilities.

“With its brilliant 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and ultra-thin design, the Samsung Galaxy S II provides the ultimate entertainment on-the-go experience,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

“Using a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, the Galaxy S II gives you smooth gameplay, fast Web surfing, and flexible multitasking. Plus, you can record videos in stunning high-profile 1080p HD quality and take photos with an 8-megapixel camera.”

At AT&T, the smartphone also features support for 4G HSPA+ connectivity, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, GPS receiver, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of external storage space.

Launched with Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform on board, the handset already started to receive an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, offering fast browsing capabilities to all users, support for flash, great social networking features, and access to a variety of apps via Google Play Store.

“Samsung Media Hub puts thousands of hit movies and next-day TV shows at your fingertips, ready to rent or buy and watch instantly with progressive downloads,” AT&T also notes.

“Or you can direct your own movies with full HD 1080p video recording. All of this comes in an ultra-slim 8.89mm design that you can easily slip into your pocket.”
