The highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S II has just been listed by Orange UK, but the carrier has yet to reveal the smartphone's release date

Although the Galaxy S II is already available for purchase in the UK from various retailers, Orange UK is expected to offer Samsung's flagship Android smartphone for free on select plans.

The Galaxy S sequel is one of the most successful smartphones manufactured by the Korean company, as Samsung already reported amazing sales of the device in Korea with more than 120,000 units sold in just three days since launch.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy S II managed to break its predecessor's record, as the phone has been pre-ordered in more than 3 million units by various carriers worldwide.

If Samsung manages to fulfill all orders for the Galaxy S II, the device might reach the 10 million milestone in just one month since its launch.

Bundled with some of the best technologies that Samsung's R&D labs managed to come up with, the Galaxy S II offers users the ultimate Android experience.

Powered by Samsung's next-generation TouchWiz UX technology along with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, the device introduces the new Live Panel concept, a customizable home-screen for live web and applications.

Equipped with a powerful dual core 1.2GHz processor, as well as the HSPA+ connectivity that provides data transfer of up to 21Mbps, Galaxy S II allows users to play the latest 3D games and offers true multi-tasking.

The phone boasts a superior 8-megapixel camera and camcorder with 1080p full HD recording and playback, as well as a large 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen display, which is based on Samsung's latest mobile display technology.

Easy access to Samsung Apps, Social Hub and Readers Hub, social networking with a collection of magazines, books and newspapers is included as well.
