Starting this week, French Android fans will be able to purchase the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone via Bouygues Telecom carrier.

The carrier retails the Galaxy S II for €199.99 with a new two-year agreement and Neo.4 smartphone package.

One of the best-selling Android smartphones manufactured by Samsung, the Galaxy S II managed to break its predecessor's record, as the phone has been pre-ordered in more than 3 million units by various carriers worldwide.

Although the phone is said to feature NFC technology on board, it seems that the French version of the Galaxy S II won't be delivered with NFC hardware inside.

Fortunately, the rest of the features are similar to the official specs sheet and contains some of the best technologies that manufacturer's R&D labs managed to come up with.

Powered by Samsung's next-generation TouchWiz UX technology along with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, the smartphone features active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, as well as full SNS (social network services) integration.

Equipped with a powerful dual core 1.2GHz processor, as well as the HSPA+ connectivity that provides data transfer speeds of up to 21Mbps, Galaxy S II offers users an enhanced HD gaming experience and offers true multi-tasking.

The phone boasts a superior 8-megapixel camera and camcorder with 1080p full HD recording and playback, as well as a large 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen display, which is based on Samsung's latest mobile display technology.

Easy access to Samsung Apps, Social Hub and Readers Hub, social networking with a collection of magazines, books and newspapers, and Adobe Flash 10.1 support are included as well.

On related news, French carrier SFR is also expected offer the Samsung Galaxy S II beginning May 31st, while Virgin Mobile and Orange should have it available next month.
