Samsung Galaxy S II has just made it to the airwaves of Canadian wireless carrier Bell, after being launched on Virgin Mobile's network and announced as being on its way to SaskTel's offering as well before the end of this week.

The handset landed at Bell as the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G, as it includes support for the wireless carrier's HSPA+ network, so as to deliver download speeds of up to 21 Mbps to its users.

The handset was made available for purchase today with a price tag of $169.95 attached to it upon the signing of a contract agreement on a three-year period.

However, users can also choose to commit to shorter-term agreements when purchasing the phone, including 2-year terms, with the smartphone priced at $549.95, or one-year deals, with the device available for only $574.95.

Those who would like to have the phone but do not plan on committing to a contract with the wireless carrier will have to pay $599.95 for the Galaxy S II 4G.

The handset was already available for pre-order in Canada, via Bell's launch partner, Best Buy, and is now shipping to end-users.

“The Samsung Galaxy S ll 4G is truly an amazing superphone. It's equipped with a powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and is designed to run at incredible maximum speeds of 21 Mbps,” Bell notes on its website.

“It's a super-thin device with a 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display that delivers crisper text, clearer graphics, wider viewing angles, and readability even in direct sunlight.

“It also has an 8 megapixel camera with flash, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, plus a 1080p camcorder to capture and play back full HD.”

Based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the smartphone comes with an ultra-thin design at only 8.49 mm, and is also lightweight (116 g), but can still offer impressive performance capabilities, as well as great multimedia features to all users.
