Samsung Galaxy S Glide was officially introduced in Canada only three weeks ago and it has already seen two price drops.  No later than last week, the Galaxy S Glide was on sale at Future Shop for only $75 (55 EUR) with a new three-year agreement.

It seems that Rogers really wants to get rid this recently launched Android phone, as the carrier is now offering the Galaxy S Glide for a mere $0.01 on select three-year plans.

However, the retail price remains the same, so customers who do not want to commit to a long term contract must pay $550 (410 EUR) upfront.

On a side note, the handset is also available in the United States via AT&T, but under a different name, Samsung Captivate Glide.

The Galaxy S Glide is not among the most powerful Android phones available in the market, but has a lot to offer those will grab it for free.

The phone combines the advanced messaging features with a powerful processor, allowing for blazing fast browsing and multi-tasking like never before.

Samsung Galaxy S Glide is equipped with an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor clocked at 1 GHz, which is complemented by an ULP GeForce graphics processing unit.

On the inside, the smartphone packs 8 GB of internal memory, 1 GB of RAM, 1GB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It has a larger 4.0-inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that boasts 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors support.

Design-wise, the Galaxy S Glide features a slide-out form factor and comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, which allows users to type faster and more accurately.

The phone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz user interface on top. There’s no word on a possible upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich yet.

On the back, the phone sports an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording, while on the front there’s a 1.3-megapixel camera for video calls.
