Samsung released the Galaxy S Advance in India about a year ago for a suggested retail price of Rs 26,900 outright, which is about $495 or €390.

However, fonearena reports that Samsung has decided to slash the Galaxy S Advance’s price tag down to Rs 17,500 ($325/€250) earlier this month.

Well, it appears that hasn't improved the smartphone’s sales, which is why the South Korean handset maker has cut Galaxy S Advance’s price one more.

The smartphone is now available via Flipkart for only Rs 14,500 ($265/€210) off contract, which is incredibly low in comparison with the handset’s initial price tag. Check it out here.

Unfortunately, Samsung Galaxy S Advance still ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box.

The good news is that Samsung already started the rollout of the Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S Advance a few months ago, which is expected to reach India in the coming weeks.

Android fans who don’t mind that the phone comes with an older version of their favorite mobile platform may want to give this one a try, especially that a Jelly Bean upgrade is on the way.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance sports a decent 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

The good news is that Flipkart is offering the 16GB version of Galaxy S Advance, but an 8GB model has been launched on the market as well. Users can further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The Galaxy S Advance is equipped with a NovaThor U8500 chipset that accommodates a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, a Mali-400 graphics processing unit and 768MB of RAM.

Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by a 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 570 hours of standby time (550 hours in 3G mode) or up to 15 hours of talk time (7 hours in 3G mode).
