Starting today, mobile phone users in the United States can head over to Verizon’s website to pre-order the Galaxy S 4 for when it becomes available for purchase at the end of May.

The smartphone can be seen on this page on the wireless carrier’s website, featuring a price tag of $199.99 (154 Euro) attached to it, with the signing of a two-year contract agreement. The smartphone’s full retail price has been set at $649.99 (500 Euro).

The smartphone is available with 16GB of internal memory, and can be purchased either in Black Mist or White Frost flavors.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Galaxy S 4 should become available for purchase in the United States as soon as tomorrow.

It will land on shelves at various wireless carriers in the country, including AT&T and US Cellular, which should launch it this weekend, as well as Sprint and T-Mobile, which confirmed its delay for the first half of May.

Made official in mid-March as the next Android-based flagship smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy S 4 arrives on shelves with a 5-inch screen, a 1.9GHz quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, it packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a 2MP front camera for making video calls, and the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors.

“The Samsung Galaxy S 4 does what you want and what you didn’t even know was possible. Capture your life with an innovative camera,” Verizon notes on its website.

“Control your TV right from your phone. Preview photos and read the news without touching the screen. Add fast 4G LTE. The Galaxy S 4 does things the way they should be done - your way.”

Galaxy S 4 was made official running under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and with Samsung’s own Nature UX loaded on top. It also sports exclusive apps and software features.
