Samsung Galaxy Rugby LTE Tastes Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean at TELUS and Bell
The update is pushed OTA (over the air), in stages
It looks like Samsung is determined to update all ICS-based smartphones to Jelly Bean, along with some Gingerbread devices featuring the requirements needed for such an upgrade.Shortly after rolling out the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Ace 2, Samsung silently released an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean build for the rugged Galaxy Rugby LTE.
MobileSyrup reports that both TELUS and Bell Mobility carriers have the update available for download, so Galaxy Rugby LTE owners can now check for it manually by going to Settings / About device / Software update / Update.
Aside from adding the new features and improvements included in Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the update “resolves Push to talk issue where users presence status appears as ‘Available’ even after the device is powered down.”
Given the fact that the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, it might take a while until it reaches all Samsung Galaxy Rugby LTE devices.
