Samsung’s upcoming 12.2-inch tablet has recently made a comeback into the news. Back in late October we brought you news that the slate’s specs have been leaked online and they showcased an upcoming powerful tablet.

As a quick refresh, back then we knew that the tablet’s 12.2-inch will most likely offer an impressive 1600 x 2560 pixel resolution and will draw power from a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. Two cameras were said to be available with the devices (8MP on the back and 2MP in front) and 32GB of internal storage.

Android 4.3 was the expected operating system, but since Android 4.4 is now out and about, it’s natural that things have changed a little bit here.

Some benchmark scores also leaked with the specifications showing that the tablet gathered 35,901 points, managing to over-throw the Galaxy Note 3 with its 35,200 points (which features a smaller screen but similar CPU config).

And only just last week we saw a purported picture of the tablet, which has been dubbed the Galaxy Note Pro / Galaxy Note 12 appear into the wild.

Now a new report coming out of ZDNet Korea says that Sammy has completed producing the 12.2-incher and is ready to roll out the device as soon as the first quarter of 2014.

They also throw in a bunch of specs, some of which confirm what we already knew since October. According to them, the 12.2-inch slate will feature an LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Sammy will add a 2.4GHz processor coupled by 3GB of RAM under the hood, backed up by a massive 9,500mAh battery.

As expected the default operating system has been upgraded to Android 4.4 now.

Furthermore, the tablet’s length is said to be 11.6 inches / 29.46 cm, its width 8 inches / 20.32 cm, while the diagonal has 14.1 inches / 358 cm. The slate is expected to weight around 1.7 lbs / 0.7 kg (a little bit heavier than the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 with its 1.3 lbs / 0.5 kg).

Most likely, the Galaxy Note Pro will probably show its face for the first time at the CES 2014 in Las Vegas next month.
