In early 2012, mobile phone carrier AT&T is expected to bring to the market in the United States the largest smartphone running under Google’s Android operating system, namely the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Rumor has it that the handset will land at the carrier with model number SGH-I717 attached to it, while featuring support for 4G LTE, and the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform on board. The smartphone will sport the four-button layout that Samsung put on its latest Galaxy handsets for the US, and should make an official appearance at CES in January.

However, it should include similar specs as the International model, such as the 5.3-inch screen that can deliver a 1280x800 resolution, though it is expected to sport an 1.5GHz application processor from Qualcomm, the MSM8660 chip (apparently, this SoC can deliver better performance on LTE networks in the US).
