After launching its first flagship smartphones for the year and shipping 10 million Galaxy S6 units within one month of its release, Samsung is readying another set of high-end devices for the second half of the year.

First of all, the next flagship smartphone Samsung will launch, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to go official this fall at IFA 2015 trade fair. But that's not the only high-end smartphone the South Korean company plans to release this year.

The successor to Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is expected to arrive around the same timeframe. The device was previously known as Project Zen, but it looks like Samsung has decided to rename the project and did some radical changes concerning its specs.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Note Edge successor is internally known as Project Zero 2, and for whatever reason Samsung has decided to remove the S Pen functionality.

Apparently, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will still come with S Pen stylus, but the successor to the Galaxy Note Edge won't have one anymore.

New information coming from sources close to the matter claim that Samsung will release ClearView cases for both Galaxy Note 5 and Project Zero 2.

New accessories will be launched with Project Zero 2

In addition to that, Samsung plans to launch a new accessory called Keyboard Cover, which will be available for both smartphones.

From previous reports on Project Zero 2, we know the smartphone might sport a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch Super AMOLED dual-edge curved display, as well as a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.

In addition, the upcoming handset is said to pack 32GB of internal memory, 16-megapixel photo snapper on the back with OIS (optical image stabilization), and a 5-megapixel camera in the front.

Keep in mind, though, that these devices are still in early stages of development, so Samsung might make some changes to their specs along the way.
