14 DAY TRIAL // One of the biggest tech shows of the year, CES 2015, is due to start in a week, and interestingly enough, we haven’t heard a lot of rumors related to what new tablets will get unveiled at the event.
This week, the folks at Korean website Move Player bring us an interesting tidbit.
Back at IFA 2014, the Galaxy Note 4 phablet dominated Samsung’s Unpacked event.
But the Korean tech giant will apparently be following last year’s tradition and will focus on tablets at CES 2015. In 2014, Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and Galaxy TabPRO family of devices.
So what should we expect at CES 2015?
If you follow Samsung’s tablet saga, you probably remember that traces of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2015 Edition have popped up online a while ago. However, since then we’ve seen no more information related to the product surface online.
According to the Korean report, Samsung is indeed coming prepared with a new tablet at CES 2015, but it’s not the Galaxy Note 10.1 2015 Edition.
The tablet in question is in fact a smaller variation, coming in the form of the Galaxy Note 8.4. This device could be considered the successor of the 2013’s Galaxy Note 8.0.
Currently, Samsung has the Galaxy TabPRO 8.4 and Galaxy S 8.4 tablets on the market, but none of them takes advantage of the S Pen technology.

We’re not given a lot of information regarding the tablet, but we are shown an image of the device. The tablet looks like a larger version of the Galaxy Note 4 and will probably arrive with an aluminum profile.
As for specifications, we can only guess Samsung will either power the device with one of its own Exynos chips or a Qualcomm Snapdragon instead (a 64-bit model maybe).
One thing’s for sure, the tablet will arrive with Sammy’s Advanced S-Pen technology, which has probably been revised, corrected and improved in terms of accuracy and functionality.
