Today, UK wireless carrier Three officially announced the immediate availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet PC on its network, with a price tag of £69 ($108 / €81) attached to it on £20 ($31 / €23) monthly plans. The new device is also available for purchase for free on the company’s £25 ($39 / €29) per month plans, with 15GB of data available each month for 24 months. It can be seen on this page on the operator's website.

The handset comes to the market with an 8-inch WXGA touchscreen display, and can deliver high-end performance capabilities, courtesy of its 1.6GHz quad-core processor.

Furthermore, the phone comes with 16GB of internal memory, as well as with a variety of features that Samsung has packed inside many of its Galaxy products, including S pen, Air View, Smart Stay and Multi window.

“But in the Note 8 you get to experience it all on a rather gorgeous 8 inch WXGA screen. And it’s this key difference that really brings some of these features to life,” Three UK explains.

“Particularly on the creative side of things. You can create masterpieces with Paper Artist or use the S pen to edit, enhance and annotate photos. Then share your, ahem, wonderful creations effortlessly.”

Although packing an 8-inch display, the device is still lightweight at only 345 grams, as well as very thin, measuring only 7.95mm.

“Meaning you’re able to do so much more on the go, but without it feeling at all bulky or cumbersome. It still fits comfortably in your hand for reading or watching a film,” Three explains.

Furthermore, the slate packs a 4600mAh battery inside, a microSD memory card slot, a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.

Not to mention that it comes with “free 50GB of Dropbox for two years and 1 month’s free access to their music hub,” as the wireless carrier explains.

Additionally, the new tablet PC arrives on shelves with support for 4G LTE connectivity, which means that it will prove a great option for Three’s customers as soon as the carrier fires up its fast network.
