Along with the tablets, some smartphones have also received support

While Paranoid Android has been one of the best ROMs to take advantage of, one the major disadvantages was the team behind the project only offering support for Nexus and Oppo devices.

But that’s all in the past now. The Paranoid Android team has just announced the community that they have managed to expand their reach beyond the gates of Nexus and Oppo to legacy devices.

This is excellent news for everybody who has been wishing to try out the Paranoid Android ROMs and was discouraged to do so because of the lack of support.

So from now on, those of you who don’t own a Nexus and Oppo but a legacy device can expect to face only a 2/3-day delay before new PA beta builds arrive for their devices after the non-legacy versions have made it into the wild. That’s pretty fast.

So the first batch of legacy devices to receive Paranoid Android support includes Acer Iconia Tab A510, A700, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (both 3G and Wi-Fi only models) and LG G Pad 8.3. On top of that, a bunch of smartphones have been granted compatibility too.

There are currently several PA 4+ Beta builds available for download for the legacy devices, so if you're interested, you can check them out.
