Samsung could end up releasing a next gen Galaxy Note 8.0 in the near future

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet back in April and on paper the device looked pretty promising. The product has an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, drew power from an Exynos 4412 processor and ran Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

But the product didn't achieve a lot of popularity, but Concept-phone speculates Samsung might release a 2014 edition of the slate anyway. After all we have the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) edition, so why wouldn't Sammy push out a 2014 edition for this 8-incher too?

A new concept created by Ancel Lim shows an 8-inch tablet that might compete with the iPad mini. The envisioned model could come in both Wi-Fi and LTE flavors and boast a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

In the CPU department, there’s an Exynos 5 Octa and the tablet should be available in the classic white and black. Following the design cues of the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), the tablet will also feature the faux-leather look so characteristic of Sammy. Last but not least, I was hoping to see at least Android 4.3 if not Android 4.4.
