We already know Samsung is going to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 4, in just a few hours, but it looks like this isn’t the only device that will be revealed by the South Korean company.

According to a press render leaked ahead of the official announcement, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be launched alongside Galaxy Note Edge. This is not the first time we hear about the so-called Samsung Galaxy Note Edge appearing in the leaked press image along with the Galaxy Note 4.

Samsung trademarked the Galaxy Note Edge name about two weeks ago, but at that time, we did not know that the handset maker was planning to launch it together with the Galaxy Note 4.

As always, we recommend our readers to take this info with a grain of salt until Samsung goes live with the official announcements later today.

The device in the leaked image tagged as the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge looks exactly like the three-sided Galaxy Note 4 that was rumored back in mid-August.

The problem is that, soon after the three-sided Galaxy Note 4 leaked online, numerous sources claimed the picture showing the device was fake and that Samsung had no intention to introduce such a smartphone this year.

However, if the recently leaked press render showing the Galaxy Note Edge proves to be legit, then Samsung is really going to come out with two high-end phablets today.

Judging by the Galaxy Note Edge's size, the smartphone can be easily put in the phablets category. The phone’s display seems only slightly smaller than that of the Galaxy Note 4.

Other than the aforementioned picture, there are no additional details on either of the two Galaxy Note smartphones that are supposed to go official within the next few hours.

Aside from the fact that it sports a three-sided display, the Galaxy Note Edge seems to feature the same design layout as the Galaxy Note 4. It will be interesting to see if the rest of the phones' specs match each other or Samsung plans to downgrade the Edge a little bit to boost Note 4's sales.

Update: As it turns out, the phablet has a curved display, not a three-sided screen as we hoped for. For more details check out Samsung Galaxy Note Edge full specs sheet.
