Good news for Android fans in India, as Samsung has just kicked off the pre-booking season for Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear.

We reported earlier this week that both devices would be officially launched in India on September 17, and now customers are able to pre-book any of the two Galaxy products.

The devices were spotted recently on Samsung India eStore by the folks over at Telecomgyaan. Customers who wish to pre-book the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear will have to come up with only Rs 2,000 ($30/€24), while the rest of the amount will be paid when the devices are delivered.

According to Samsung, both Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear will be available for purchase in more than 140 countries starting September 25.

It has also been confirmed that India is among the countries that will get the newly announced Galaxy devices, so customers should expect to receive their pre-booked products around this date.

There are no details on Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear pricing options, but those who wish to pre-book the phablet and its smart watch companion will have to pay the same amount (i.e. Rs 2,000).

Samsung fans in India should know Samsung has decided to launch a slightly different version of Galaxy Note 3 in their country.

Although the standard model will ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset that accommodates a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor and an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit, the Indian version comes equipped with a Samsung Exynos chipset.

The bad news is this might not support LTE connectivity, but the good news is the chipset packs two quad-core processors. Aside from that there are no differences between the Qualcomm-based and Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The phablet will be delivered with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but we expect Samsung to offer an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade as soon as the new platform gets launched next month.
