Samsung Galaxy Note 3 owners who purchased their phablets through Sprint's official retail channels will be pleased to know that the carrier has just started the rollout of the long-awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

According to the official changelog, the update brings the phone's software to version 4.4.2 and adds some new features and improvements.

For example, a new launcher setting menu has been added (Home Screen / SMS), along with a Camera shortcut which is now available in the Lock screen.

The UI (user interface) has been improved, as well as stability. It is also worth mentioning that the Music Album art will now be displayed on the lock screen while playing music.

As AndroidPolice points out, Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Sprint Galaxy Note 3 is about 500MB in size and is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so not all users may get it simultaneously.
