One of the smartphones that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has been long expected to make official is the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, which has just made an appearance online in a series of leaked press photos.

The mobile phone has been rumored since last year to hit shelves as the cheaper version of the large Galaxy Note 3, and the leaked images with it appear to confirm this.

Said photos come from a retailer in Belgium, which claims to have already put the device on pre-order in the country, with a price tag of €599 ($811) attached to it, SamMobile reports.

The news site also notes that the handset resembles a lot the Galaxy Note 3 that went official at IFA 2013 in Berlin last year, and the leaked press photos with the phone confirm that.

No official info on the device has been provided as of now, but chances are that Samsung will formally introduce it in the near future, at least in Europe.

Previous reports on this smartphone unveiled that it should arrive on shelves with a 5.55-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution.

Moreover, the handset is expected to hit the market with 2GB of RAM inside, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for storage expansion.

On the back, the phone should pack an 8-megapixel camera with support for full HD video recording. Galaxy Note 3 Neo is said to have a 3100 mAh battery inside, as well as LTE connectivity.

The smartphone will be launched with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on top, as well as with a nice range of S Pen features, including Air Command Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write, S Finder, Pen Window, S Note, Multi Window, new Easy Clip, and Direct Pen Input.

Apparently, we’ll have to wait until MWC 2014 in Barcelona to learn more on the device, while market availability is expected only for late March. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
