14 DAY TRIAL // Owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphones can now take advantage of the wireless charging technology, as the handset vendor has made available for purchase a new S-View Flip Cover for the device, with support for this functionality.
The new accessory can already be seen listed on Samsung’s official website, with a price tag of $69.99 (€51) attached to it. It is available in Black and White color versions.
Those who would like to grab it for their Galaxy Note 3 units should head over to this page on the online portal. The S-View Flip Cover is compatible with all carrier versions of the mobile phone.
Overall, it will work as all other S-View Flip Covers for the smartphone, but it will also provide users with the possibility to charge their smartphones wirelessly.
“The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Wireless Charging S-View Flip Cover protects the smartphone’s screen when it is not in use and is easily flipped open for full access to the screen,” Samsung explains.
“When closed, the S-View cover offers instant access to critical features by easily swiping between menus with your finger or via the Galaxy Note S Pen. View the home screen to check the time and your phone’s status.”
The S-View Cover also provides users with the possibility to accept or reject incoming calls with a simple swipe, while also providing them with fast access to notifications, courtesy of the recent activity menu.
“Another menu allows you to quickly access your phone’s camera, open the Action Memo menu or navigate your music tracks – all without opening the cover,” Samsung notes.
“The built-in color system adds additional customization options, allowing you to select the color of the view window screen for a unique look. The back easily snaps on, replacing the phone’s standard battery cover, without making the phone bulky.”
To wirelessly charge a Galaxy Note 3, simply install the cover, then place the handset on a Qi-compatible charging pad.
