The company may or may not unveil it during this IFA trade show

This week is one of many notebook and tablet revelations. It can be nothing less, considering the fact that there is a trade show happening in Berlin, Germany. Or rather, there will be one in a couple of days.

Apparently, Samsung will have a very wide product selection there, of tablets, phones, cameras, laptops, and other little things.

In fact, the corporation will not only have a large booth, hall really, at the main exhibition complex, but also at the Tempodrome, where we'll be going to attend the main press conference.

Among the many products that we'll get to take shots of up close there is one Galaxy Note 12.2 tablet.

An obvious successor to the Galaxy note 10.1, the mobile device, according to moveplayer, bears the part number SM-P900.

Obviously, the screen size is of 12.2 inches, quite a bit larger than most “normal” tablets. Clearly, Samsung is favoring screen space over everything else.

Speaking of which, the LCD bears a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, otherwise known as WQXGA.

The resolution, combined with the size of the LCD, will make it easy to take lots of handwritten notes with the bundled S-Pen.

That's right, like the previous Galaxy Note, this one is made for people who work a lot and want a way to store their thoughts without having to lug around a pile of paperwork.

Sadly, despite our hopes, Samsung may end up not releasing the Galaxy Note 12.2 at all. After all, the picture we included with this report is just a render. Given how close IFA is, you'd think a close shot or an actual press photo would have made it to the web by now. That it hasn't suggests the tablet hasn't been finalized yet.

Still, we'll keep hoping for at least a prototype. We don't want to attend IFA and Samsung's press announcement only to miss out on this ambitious, large project.
