The tablet ships a few days ahead of the ETA we heard previously

Samsung's Galaxy Note 10.1 may have arguably lost its greatest advantage due to the PressurePen stylus, but that doesn't mean people will suddenly drop all interest in it.

Samsung can't really afford not to sell it well either, what with the ban on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the US and whatnot.

Perhaps this is why the company has begun shipments in Canada ahead of time.   Around two weeks ago, we got wind that shipments would begin on September 26 there, but a new press release states that availability has already been attained. The price is of $499 (Canadian dollars).   The specifications have not been changed in any way since August, but it should be possible to move from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. That leak describing how the update can be done isn't there for nothing after all.
