Have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 lying around in some corner? It’s time to take it out and dust it off. Demonstrating it has not forgot about its older products, Samsung is now rolling the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for its Galaxy Note 10.1.

For the time being, users located in South Korea and China are receiving the update, regardless of whether they own the Wi-Fi or 3G model (SHW-M480W, SHW-M480K). Note that in China the update for the LTE model is also rolling out (SHW-E320S), as reported by Sam Mobile.

The new build arrives over the air (OTA) and comes to provide you with a slew of bug fixes and security patches. It is not a major bump, but it’s still good to see Samsung isn't ignoring older devices like the Galaxy Note 10.1.

Like in the case of OTA updates, the new build will roll out gradually, so expect the international version to arrive in the next few weeks.

The tablet was released back in 2012 and made it out on the market with a 10.1-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen boasting 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The device relied on a quad-core Exynos 4412 processor from Sammy’s own garden to perform the duty of keeping everything onboard moving.

Anyway, keep an eye on any notifications on your tablet alerting you the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update has arrived for you.
